- Canadian SlangSlang for Manitoba Liquor Control Commission (MLCC), the government-run liquor stores in Manitoba; also for Nova Scotia's 'Liquor Commission'. Abbreviated as the 'Mission. The phrase Lick-Bo is used commonly in Ontario, as a reference to the LCBO (Liquor Control Board of Ontario) government run liquor stores. In British Columbia the same reference is now L.D.B. - Liquor Distribution Branch (formerly L.C.B. - Liquor Control Board; L.C.B. is still heard despite the Board's renaming). People of Saskatchewan use "LB" for Liquor Board store.
